‘Lost and Then I’m Found’: The Godfathers play U.S. for first time in 20 years

The Godfathers, by Sandra de BruyneThe Godfathers — one of the best, if not most underrated, U.K. rock bands of the 1980s — triumphantly reformed in 2008, and capped the year off by announcing a short, eight-date U.S. tour that was to have taken place this month.

Thanks to the current global economic crisis, however, the band said it was forced to scale down the tour — its first U.S. trek in two decades — to a single concert: the band’s annual St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, which took place Feb. 14 at Chicago’s Metro.

I’m not seeing any reviews of the gig online, but photographer Pattie Bee offers a visual document of the Metro show with this Flicker set. And here’s an interview with lead singer Peter Coyne by Windy City site Gapers Block that previewed the gig.
