BACKSTORY: The second installment in the band’s 2CD reissue series features the classic 1984 album on one disc, and a 16-track bonus disc that includes a concert recorded July 7, 1984, at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom, featuring live performances of eight of Reckoning’s 10 songs, plus “Gardening at Night” from the Chronic Town EP and “Radio Free Europe,” “9-9″ and “Sitting Still” from Murmur.

BACKSTORY: Evan Dando and his latest assortment of sidemen issue an 11-track covers album produced by the Butthole Surfers’ Gibby Haynes and featuring covers of songs by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Wire, Gram Parsons and G.G. Allin — plus that increasingly oft-covered, Linda Perry-penned Christina Aguilera hit “Beautiful.”
