Living Colour tour dates announced; new song ‘Behind the Sun’ debuts on MySpace

The initial dates of Living Colour’s fall tour have been revealed, while the band today debuted “Behind the Sun,” the first song off its forthcoming The Chair in the Doorway, on its MySpace page.

The 3:45-long track, which the band’s label previously described as a “modern soul anthem,” is streaming here.

As for the tour, Vernon Reid and Co. so far have announced 13 dates, beginning Sept. 1 in Alexandria, Va., and continuing through Detroit, Mich., on Oct. 2, with more shows promised (see dates below). The hard-rocking act announced plans to release its fifth album — and second full-length since reuniting in 2000 — on Sept. 15 on metal imprint Megaforce Records.   1. This is unlike a lot of their other stuff…nice direction, guitar work, crips drums, doug actually in the pocket, and corey’s voice hasn’t lost a THING! it’s a pretty tight tune
