BACKSTORY: The 2006 expanded, two-disc reissue of the ex-Teardrop Explodes frontman’s 1992 solo album gets a belated U.S. release this week. The set’s first disc features the album’s original 16 tracks, while the second disc has 14 bonus tracks, including eight previously unreleased cuts — such as a 22-minute version of “Poet is a Priest.”

BACKSTORY: The late-’70s, female-fronted San Francisco punk act — which reunited a few years back — this week releases a double-disc reissue of its 1983 self-titled compilation album, aka “The Pink Album,” which collected the band’s recorded output, and now includes a bonus disc with 16 previously unreleased live and studio tracks.
