The Psychedelic Furs extend tour of eastern U.S. this March

The Psychedelic Furs are following up last fall’s co-headlining tour with Tom Tom Club with a short, six-date club tour of the northeast U.S. this March, promising fans can “get up close to the band” as the group kicks off “what promises to be a busy 2012” — which should include soon-to-be-announced U.K. dates.

The short trek opens March 17 in Falls Church, Virginia, and wraps up March 24 and 25 with a two-night stand at the venerable Maxwell’s in Hoboken, N.J. Check out full dates below.

No other 2012 dates have yet been announced, but the Furs’ website promises, “Watch for a U.K. announcement very, very soon.”

UPDATE 2/1/12: Shows in Toronto and Pittsburgh have been added

UPDATE 2/7/12: Shows in Englewood, N.J.; Kent and Cincinnati, Ohio; and Louisville, Ky., added.

UPDATE 2/10/12: And the tour continues to grow, with a second show in Annapolis added, plus new concerts in New Hampshire, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
