J Mascis’ guitar stolen at Dinosaur Jr. show Someone stole frontman J Mascis’ Squier Jazzmaster during Dinosaur Jr’s concert in Eugene, Ore., last week. According to the band: “Some characteristics that make this guitar unique: there is a dent in the neck, the pickups have no screws as they usually do and the action is currently set high.” []

‘The new Happy Mondays album sounds brilliant’ Backing singer Rowetta fills in the NME on the recording of the Happy Mondays’ reunion album, which could includes songs titled “Designer Vagina,” “Lollipop Man” and “Mumbo Jumbo.” []

Robin Guthrie announces next album Our friends at Strangeways Radio report that the former Cocteau Twins guitarist is prepping a new 10-track solo album called Fortune for a late November release. []
