On Thursday night, New Order’s Bernard Sumner — joined by bandmates Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman — re-teamed with the legendary Iggy Pop for a short three-song set at the annual Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.

In 2014, they played Joy Division’s “Transmission” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart” together, and this year they performed “She’s Lost Control,” plus New Order’s “Stray Dog,” the Music Complete track on which Pop guests, and Pop’s own “Shades,” form 1986’s Blah Blah Blah.

They also joined Patti Smith’s all-star finale of “People Have the Power.”

See footage from that Iggy Pop/New Order set, and the finale, below.

Even by New Order bootleg standards this is some muddy muddy sound.

  3. Yeah, make it sound like mere pop music. Great job.
