Listen: Rockin’ the Suburbs podcast talks ’80s college rock with Slicing Up Eyeballs

Shameless self-promotion alert: Slicing Up Eyeballs founder/editor Matt Sebastian, who is writing this in the third-person for some reason, is the guest on today’s episode of the excellent Rockin’ the Suburbs podcast, a five-day-a-week show hosted by Jim Lenahan and Patrick Foster that’s billed as “two (not so) ordinary men talking about their lifelong obsessions with music.”

In today’s episode, Sebastian discusses the origin, demise and rebirth of Slicing Up Eyeballs and its exploration of ’80s college rock (and why that term, in particular, has been used by this site since its launch in 2009).  On Tuesday, he’ll be back on Rockin’ the Suburbs to discuss “Dark Wave,” the show he hosts every week on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave channel.

Listen to the 24-minute episode below, and subscribe to Rockin’ the Suburbs while you’re at it.
