Industrial-dance favorites My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult will celebrate their 30th anniversary this fall with with a new single and a tour that’ll feature performances of their first two albums — 1988’s I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits and 1990’s Confessions of a Knife — each night.
The 23-date tour opens Oct. 6 in Tucson, Ariz., and runs through Nov. 5 in San Diego. In a post on Facebook, band co-founder Buzz McCoy says East Coast dates will be booked as well. The band promises to play those first two Wax Trax! Records albums in their entireties, plus “other TKK faves.”
Thrill Kill Kult — currently featuring co-founders McCoy and Groovie Mann, plus Mimi Star on bass,”Bomb Gang Girl” Arena Rock on vocals and drummer Bradley Bills — also are working on a new album in Los Angeles, according to the band’s website, and plan to have a new single out to coincide with the tour.
