The long-running German electropunk/industrial act Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft — better known simply as D.A.F. — will stage what is being billed as the first-ever American live performance of its 40-year career this November at the Cloak & Dagger festival in Los Angeles.
This year’s one-day event, which will be D.A.F.’s only North American appearance, will take place Nov. 10 at the State Theatre, and also will include performances by She Wants Revenge, The Faint, HEALTH, Boy Harsher, Tamaryn, BOAN, and Black Mare. As with last year’s inaugural event — which featured performances by The Jesus and Mary Chain, KMFDM, Poptone and Skinny Puppy’s oGhr — “an all-black dress code is strongly encouraged.”
