Thank you for Castles in Spain. One of my favorites. Can I please request Baby Turn Blue by the Virgin prunes. I’d also love to hear Gabriel by Handful of Snowdrops
Excellent episode tonight!
Can you dig up “Nothing Natural” by Lush for next Sunday’s show? Thanx!
Greetings from a land afar! The great MLWTTKK track conjured into my mind the Electric Hellfire Club song “Prince Of Darkness”, so if you could drop that i to next week’s #Darkwave that’d be thrill!
*poof*disappears into the mist*
Thanks for the Concrete Blonde and also for following it up with one of my favorite Killing Joke songs.
Tough to call one particular hour. They were all awesome. Thanks for the great show tonight. Have a good one.
The next song I have in mind would have to be “There’ll Come A Day” by The Damned
Would love to hear Woman’s Own by Danse Society
Great show as always. Technical question. Last two weeks DW has started airing before 10pm EST on the app. Why the early lead in from Richard’s Sunday evening show to yours? I know not everything we hear is truly live. Just curious. Thanks.
Awesome show tonight! The next Morrissey song I want to hear is “Such a little thing makes such a big difference” please!
Great set, Matt. How about “From Safety to Where…?” by Joy Division?
Great show! I’m always happy to hear something from Pigface! As a request I would like to hear Face to Face from Siouxsie and the Banshees in honor of the 30 year anniversary of Batman Returns.
Pixies – Dead
It’s so great to see underground music constantly represented! Each week is better than the last and that’s HARD to do!! Could I humbly ask for the following songs to be played in upcoming shows?
Bourbonese Qualk – Return to Order
Human Drama – Old Man
Stripmall Architecture – Rockin’ Back Inside My Heart (Julee Cruise cover)
Les Rita Mitsouko – C’est Comme Ça
New Model Army – Better Than Them
Hi Matt please play tears by the chameleons thank you

Thanks for Come Back to the Living : – )
Another good show! I also second the thought on why the last couple of DW’s have been starting early.
Here are some requests –
The Smiths – The Boy With the Thorn in His Side (Rank/live version)
Gary Numan – Observer
Killing joke- change
Would be a good song to play
Going to see tears for fears this weeekend in new york would be nice to add to list.
Tears for fears – pale shelter
Another great, dark Sunday night!
I think in honor of Steve albini’s wsop win you should play precious thing or bad penny by big black this week.
Thanks as always for the great show!
Love Dark Wave soooo much! Could you please play “No One Receiving” by Brian Eno next week? Thank you!
KMFDM – Leid Und Elend
Killing Joke – The Death And Resurrection Show
Love the show. Great to hear some Pigface from Fook.
A suggestion to hear is some Sister Machine Gun.
Hi Matt! You saved the best for last this week! ;) Thank you for the J&MC! I know you must get this a lot ….but seriously….your show is a much needed escape into past music bliss! Some possible suggestions for next week:
New Order – Krafty
The Verve – Gravity Grave
The Boo Radleys – Kaleidoscope
YOU MADE MY NIGHT with He Said “Pump”! Love that track!
One of the most frightening bits of music put to record was J G Thirlwell’s
The Bowel of Beelzebub: A Symphony in Four Movements from the Steroid Maximus: Gondwanaland album. In college, I would make people come over and turn all the lights off and crank these tracks up extremely loud. It’s a fun experience and I highly recommend it.
Could you play the Second Movement:
The Auctioneer of Souls
This week’s Darkness Award:
He Said, “Pump”
“Thump thump thump thump”
Yea!!! Glad you are back, missed your darkness awards the last couple of weeks
that was a really good show, loved the mix of music. Woulsd love to request one of these songs.
The Cure A Thousand Hours
Aphex Twins Come to Daddy
Depeche Mode Something to do
Devo Puppet Boy
Would love to hear The Police represented on the Dark side here. “Mother” certainly comes to mind, but if you want to pick another, please do! Always enjoy the show!!!
Can you please play Teenage Enema Nurses in Bondage by Killer Pussy. We love your show. Thank you for playing Bauhaus for us last week. Have a good evening.
