  1. I loved tonight’s show! Goodnight!

  2. Thank you for the Nitzer Ebb. Very much appreciated. Hour 2 with the extended shoegaze took it tonight for me though. Great show all around.

Would like to ask for some Abecedarians (or however it’s spelled) in an upcoming episode please. If you can find them, maybe “Laugh at Yourself” or “Surf Western”. But “Diner” would work just fine too.

Very much appreciate the consideration and good music. Have a great week.

  3. Can you dig up “Always the Sun” by the Stranglers for next Sunday’s show? Thanx!

  4. How about Low’s cover of Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved me in honor of Mimi Parker.

Thanks for always playing my requests Matt!

  5. Great show tonight, as always! Wondering if you could sneak in A New Day by Killing Joke…that would be fantastic, thanks!

  6. Thanks for playing my GLJ request. How about Sister Europe by the Psychedelic Furs next week? Love the show, as always!

  7. A great show as always. Loved that solo cut from Daniel Ash and that Banshees track is an underrated classic. You always dig out the good stuff! Anyway, as next week will be my birthday, I was hoping you could pull out a track from one of my favorite musicians, David Sylvian. I’ll give you the liberty of picking the song. Thanks and have a great week!

  8. Corey Miller-McLain

    Hi Matt,
I’d like to request Joy Divison – Shadowplay please.
    Thanks,
    Corey

  9. Constantine

Piggy in The Mirror by the Cure ….. please ?

    Constantine

  10. I absolutely loved the 9-song shoegaze set, especially “Slide Away”!

  11. Excellent show as always. Would love to hear
    Miranda Sex Garden- Ardera Sempre
    Alternates in case…..
KommunityF.K. – Something inside me has died
    Big Electric Cat- Orchid Dreaming.
    Thanks!!

  12. Thanks for playing “225” by NMA, even though I stupidly asked for “227” (facepalm). That was my dorm room, so probably the reason for that memory glitch, though who knows these days.

  13. An absolutely epic shoegaze double block Matt, that was awesome. Took me back to seeing Verve at Slim’s in San Francisco in 95. Saw Slowdive and Chapterhouse there as well, great memories.
    And thanks for playing KoD!

    Cheers!

  14. Mario Acosta

Like to hear the blood by the cure if they have a 12inch of that it would be great.
    Thanks looking forward to it.

  15. Choice cuts to start off November!

I second any choice from Low out of respect, and also possibly something that involved D.H. Peligro, who also sadly passed recently.

    Thanks!

  16. Fernando De La Garza

Can you please play The Game Is Over by Ministry?

  17. Hey Matt – Great selection of shoegaze tracks this last show! And that newer DM cover w/ D. Ash on backgrounds was equally awesome! Def enjoyed that James Ray track you played the other week – how about some “Mexico Sundown Blues” next time?
    Cheers! – JR

  18. That MBV song has been on repeat in my head since you played it. How about another one? I’d love to hear Slow.

Also, on the goth-ier side of Duran and since it’s Election Day this week, how about Arcadia’s Election Day? Since they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week, too. Tragic about Andy Taylor. If you have a chance, check out some of the live clips from the epic Halloween show they did. They did a cover of Siouxsie’s Spellbound. Love that band.

  19. Enjoyed the shoegaze set Matt, but hour 3 kicked hour 2’s ass. Looking forward to next week.

  20. That shoegaze set was sssssssoooooooooooooooo goood THANK YOU for keeping the dream alive!!!! When’s the special shoegaze – dedicated 3 hr program?

  21. Dreamy episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:

Depeche Mode- Fly On The Windscreen (Extended Version)
    New Order – Too Late
Siouxsie And The Banshees – Switch
    Skinny Puppy – Assimilate
    Kraftwerk- Europe Endless

  23. Fabulous extended shoegaze set. Can’t wait for the next.

  24. I know it’s too late for this week but, Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck’s cover of Venus in Furs is pretty damn cool.

  25. Human League – Circus of Death

  26. Any time I can get Kitchens of Distinction and the Jesus Lizard is a good time in my book. Amazing work as always.
