  5. Enjoyed the variety tonight!

My request for next week’s DW is “Back to the Old House” by The Smiths (either the album, or possibly the Peel Session/acoustic, version), please. It’s always a song that comes to mind during the Thanksgiving weekend.

    Thanks!

  6. The statement about technique and Vanishing Point… Bold… and I agree wholeheartedly! Though I am pretty partial to Mr. Disco too.

As always, great show. Ain’t got time to bleed – chef’s kiss.

Next week in honor of the world cup and how far New Order fell with world’s in Motion (I do feel it’s aged surprisingly well) – how about Touched by the Hand of Cicciolina?

  7. Hour 1 killed. The first 5 tracks were great selections. Good calls as well on Concrete Blonde, I Start Counting, and The Stranglers.

Would like to request Blitz “Empire Fall” for an upcoming episode please.

Thanks for the great show. Happy Thanksgiving.

  8. Kudos for “Sister Surprise” by Numan!!!!

  9. Thanx for Eisbär! Good teen memories!

Can you play „Beyond the Playe“ by Marquee Moon from Berlin?

  10. On your show I always her things I haven’t heard on radio in years, if ever, and always pick up some new gems as well.

Requesting The Glove – Mouth to Mouth (or any other track) please.

    Thanks Matt

  11. Paulie Fidgets

Can you please play “Winter” by Asylum Party? Thanks. More people should know about this band.

  12. It was awesome hearing the Humans, especially the third song in, and of course, anything off Pretty Hate Machine. Shriekback and Concrete Blonde were nice touches as well. I could go on, but I’ll be brief. Thanks.

  13. Gene Loves Jezebel – It’ll End In Tears

  14. Another stellar show Matt! Tough to pick a fave hour, all three were awesome, but i think I gotta go with hour 3. Nice to hear Adrenalin and I completely agree with you about Vanishing Point. Have a great week.

    Cheers!

  15. Super awesome set tonight but wow hour 3 crushed it Matt!!! As you know I live near Buffalo… so this music helps soothe the soul a bit of what was a crazy weekend weatherwise. Anywho …. some possible suggestions for next time:

    Jane’s Addiction – Ocean Size
KMFDM – Virus (Ghost in the Shell)
    NIN – Heresy

    Thanks as always! (✷‿✷)

  16. In honor of this week, no requests, just a note that I am thankful for your show.

  17. Danie Gilland

Great show. Would B 52s Ain’t it a Shame be an acceptable request?

  18. PS:: Always The Sun is one of my favorite songs…I was soooo happy to hear it…it is another song that reminds me of my mom.

  19. Hi, Matt. How about New Order’s “5 8 6” from the John Peel sessions for next week’s show? Love that version!

  20. Great show as always, Matt.
Could you perhaps play “Show Time” by Minimal Man, or “Alone” by Colin Newman?
Thanks, I’ll keep tuning in every Sunday for the wonderful music choices on Dark Wave!

  21. Sweet episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
The The, “Sweet Bird of Truth”

“Oh, the wind that carries this plane is the wind of change”

  22. Has anyone else seen this?

    https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/the-50-best-goth-songs-of-all-time-1234614460/

This is a really odd list. Sometimes it’s the right pick for a band, but totally wrong song. Seems like the person or team who did this list was never really *got* the music. The pictures are wrong for some of these too.

    Thoughts?

  23. So sorry just noticed something (a bit late I realize lol) but after my request for Virus by KMFDM it says Ghost in the Shell and that wasn’t supposed to be in there lol…
just wanted to post my blunder here lol!!
