Midnight Oil will be the subject of an all-new Australian TV documentary that promises “the first ever inside story” of the band, thanks to its use of “a wealth of rare archival footage as well as the only interviews with each of the five band members granted in recent years.”

Depeche Mode held a news conference in Paris today to announce the European leg of its 2013 world tour — the dates mirroring those that leaked yesterday — and tease fans with a preview of a track from the band’s as-yet-untitled album, which Martin Gore characterized as a cross between ‘Violator’ and ‘Songs of Faith and Devotion.’

Public Image Ltd. brought its U.S. tour to Minneapolis tonight, and before John Lydon and Co. played their headlining date, the band stopped by the studios of The Current to record a three-song session.
