The Cure headlined the U.K.’s Bestival tonight, delivering a 32-song set filled with hits and a few lesser-aired tracks — including the first performance of ‘The Caterpillar’ in 20 years — with a lineup that included the return of keyboardist Roger O’Donnell, who says he’s back in the band for the third time.

Peter Hook this morning called New Order’s surprise decision to reunite without him ‘very sad,’ saying ‘the other three’ didn’t tell him they’d decided to play two October concerts — and that, ultimately, ‘everyone knows New Order without Peter Hook is like Queen without Freddie Mercury, U2 without The Edge, Sooty without Sweep!’

Bob Mould will continue his ‘evening of reading and music’ performances in support of just-published autobiography ‘See A Little Light: The Trail of Rage and Melody’ this fall with a new slate of nine new dates, including stops in New York City, Chicago and San Diego.

Directed by Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim, the U2 documentary ‘From the Sky Down’ — about the making of ‘Achtung Baby’ — will premiere Oct. 29 on Showtime in advance of its appearance on the expanded reissue of the Irish band’s 1991 album.

Peter Murphy will return to the United States for a third round of dates this year when he brings his ongoing tour in support of ‘Ninth’ back for a run of shows throughout November and into early December with up-and-coming modern rockers She Wants Revenge.
