The Mission next week will release a new 5CD box set that collects live discs recorded during the band’s 2008 run of show in London that saw full-album performances of classic early records The First Chapter, God’s Own Medicine, Children and Carved in Sand. Full details and tracklist here.
Mission frontman Wayne Hussey this fall will release an album with All About Eve lead singer Julianne Regan featuring ‘strange and interesting interpretations of already loved songs alongside new songs’ — including covers of Depeche Mode, Duran Duran and David Bowie.
Not only is The Mission reuniting for a 25th anniversary concert this fall, but Wayne Hussey and two of the band’s other original members — plus ex-Siouxsie and the Banshees drummer Budgie — are currently in a British studio recording a brand-new album.
