While the Big Audio Dynamite reunion didn’t result in any new recordings, frontman Mick Jones has re-teamed with that band’s rhythm section — drummer Greg Roberts and bassist Leo “E-Z Kill” Williams — to lend guitar and backing vocals to new single “Too Late,” from the duo’s band Dreadzone.

Last night in Liverpool, Mick Jones brought his post-Clash outfit Big Audio Dynamite out of retirement for the original lineup’s first concert in 22 years, the opening night of a nine-date U.K. tour that will be followed by a pair of U.S. gigs and a slot at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in California next month.
Mick Jones and Co. ‘have plans in the works for a new Big Audio Dynamite album,’ according to a news release e-mailed late Monday by Sony Music promoting the band’s three upcoming U.S. performances.
