Boutique record label Futurismo next month will reissue The Psychedelic Furs’ classic single — both the original off 1981’s Talk Talk Talk and the re-recording used in John Hughes’ 1986 film — as a gatefold double 7-inch single pressed on pink vinyl.

The highly influential debut album from German synthpop outfit Propaganda — 1985’s ‘A Secret Wish’ — will be reissued yet again later this month, this time appearing in a 25th anniversary 2CD edition featuring six previously unreleased tracks plus the rare 20-minute cassette mix of ‘Duel.’

Molly Ringwald tells Vanity Fair that the late John Hughes started work on a script based on The Cure’s 1983 single “The Lovecats” — and even assembled a hypothetical soundtrack for the film — after finishing “The Breakfast Club.”
