U.K. post-punk veterans The Monochrome Set will follow up a rare U.S. tour in 2019 with two legs of North American dates this year, playing 10 shows on the East Coast and Midwest in May, followed by eight more concerts along the West Coast and in Canada in September. See full details right here.
U.K. post-punk veterans The Monochrome Set will return to the U.S. early next year for a rare tour, playing nine dates — largely on the East and West coasts — as the group continues the celebration of the 40th anniversary of its formation. The U.S. tour opens March 1 in Boston and runs through March 10 in Los Angeles.
Tapete Records next year will release a box set compiling the complete recordings of the original six-year run of The Monochrome Set, a collection of 68 songs spread across six discs that collects the influential U.K. post-punk act’s first four albums and a host of singles. True to its name, the 2013 installment of NYC Popfest will be an indie-pop lover’s dream, as the organizers have pulled off a booking coup, landing rare American performances by C86 veterans Close Lobsters and The Wolfhounds as well as U.K. post-punk act The Monochrome Set and an appearance by The Bats.
