Big Audio Dynamite, 'This is Big Audio Dynamite'

The expanded 2CD reissue of This is Big Audio Dynamite — the 1985 debut from Mick Jones’ post-Clash project, Big Audio Dynamite, which featured breakout singles “Medicine Show,” “E-MC2” and “The Bottom Line”— was due to hit stores Tuesday, but now has been “bumped to 2010,” according to Sony/Legacy. No more specific date has been announced. The remastered set will feature a second disc full of b-sides and rarities, although, once again, no specific details have been revealed — although it’s worth noting the album’s singles featured a variety of remixes.

Due to production issues, Beggars Archive is expecting initial shortages of The Cult’s Love: Omnibus Edition four-disc box set when it’s released Sept. 21. Because the label is trying to only fulfill actual customers and record-shop preorders, it expects “supplies will run out on the day of release.” Further copies are due in mid-October.
