  1. Hi Matt, Thank you for the Siouxsie and the Banshees tonight. Great show!

  2. Great show Matt ! I’d like to think you played my request from a couple weeks ago (New Order, Crystal), so thanks ? Also, ashamed to say I’ve never heard that Monaco song before – I guess it was a bonus song from Music for Pleasure. So thanks for that. A lot of other excellent choices last night too (the songs by Meat Beat Manifesto, And Also the Trees, and Peter Murphy to name a few). Requests for whenever you can slot them in :

Bauhaus : Of Lillies and Remains
    Simple Minds : Changeling
Cabaret Voltaire : Bad Self, Pt 1

Matt, each week I say your show was great and couldn’t get better, however, this weeks show was the best! Thanks for playing my request! The Cure, Smiths, and Tones on Tail song selections were amazing! Your show is truly the highlight of my weekend and gives pleasure moving forward!

Thanks Matt!! You know, First Wave has Friday and Saturday night “dance parties”. What about a Dark Wave dance party featuring 12″ dance cuts? That would be so fun!!!

  7. Request for next week

    Wailing Wall – The Cure

  8. Thank you! Heard some long forgotten gems. What about Verschwende Deine Jugend by D.A.F..

  9. Thanks for the Monaco. Great show last night, particularly the last hour. Thanks

  10. Another powerhouse setlist last night, Matt! Thank you for playing HULA “Torn Silk”. Other great standouts for me were the tracks by Death In June, Meat Beat Manifesto, & Peter Murphy. Side note: Apparently I’ve been missing out because I had never heard the Executive Slacks cut before. Loved it! Where have I been??

  11. Wonderful episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Revolting Cocks, “Something Wonderful”

“But I´m weak, when I´m in this deep,
It´s not a game anymore, it´s gone too FAR!”

    Request for future show:
    The Human League, “Darkness”

  12. I would love to hear something by Einstürzende Neubauten. Curious to see which one you pick!

  13. Hello Matt
Been listening for ages. Drive a lot and your music makes that 2hour + ride home better all the time!
Remember looking forward to those favorite radio shows when I was younger….including pirate radio how awesome was that! We were able to pick up the pirate radio boats broadcasts in the UK quite a bit!! A great time to grow up…punk…new music…avantguard…first sex pistols exposure was friggin in the rigging!! My fave the Clash… but a request if you dont mind… grimly fiendish ( bad trip mix) 1985 . Wish I could include photos of the covers!! CLOCKDVA resistance was my first fave of that industrial sound…skinny puppy followed. And of course suburban Berlin by Japan… 1978 release but a group well ahead of the curve.

Keep up the awesome work…always feel like I am in a special corner of the radio empire… almost like your dj’ing in an obscure pub in either a basement club or an empty castle ‘s main hall!!
    Cheers Matt
    Christopher D now in Canada

  15. Another great communion.
    Please play next time

    Thanks

  16. Hello, I have a request for next time. Killing Joke “Turn to Red” or “The Hum.”
