BACKSTORY: The reunited Scottish indie-pop favorites — immortalized on the NME’s genre-defining C86 compilation cassette — this week release their first new album in 31 years, and jujst their third overall.

BACKSTORY: The three albums released by the U.K. space-rockers in the late ’80s and early ’90s are reissued on CD this week, with the original music remastered and bonus discs featuring demos and radio session recordings.

RELEASE: West Bank Songs 1978-1983: A Best Of
BACKSTORY: John Peel’s beloved favorites are commemorated this week in a new, vinyl-only 2LP best-of, a 30-track compilation that spans the years 1978 to 1983. One LP is pressed on white vinyl, the other purple vinyl.

RELEASE: Marc Riley Sessions Volume 4
BACKSTORY: David Gedge and Co. this week release the fourth in a series of compilations of radio-session recordings for the Marc Riley show, a set of nine songs put on tape in 2017 and 2018. Includes “Scotland,” “Fifty-Six” and more.
