The Wedding Present has just released a third collection of recordings that the David Gedge-led band made for Marc Riley’s show on BBC radio, and the group is promoting the collection — titled, naturally, Marc Riley Sessions Volume 3 — with a cover of the theme for the 1967 James Bond film “You Only Live Twice.”
The Wedding Present this month will release a long-shelved re-recording of the band’s debut album George Best by famed engineer Steve Albini, and are offering up a first taste of the project in the form of a new version of “Shatner,” which you can now stream in full right here.
David Gedge and the rest of The Wedding Present stopped by the Seattle studios of KEXP in April during the band’s spring U.S. tour in support of their latest album Going, Going…, and performed a six-song, half-hour set that the radio station has now shared online.
