In today’s installment of Milestones we celebrate the 52nd birthday of William Reid, the sonic architect behind The Jesus and Mary Chain’s incomparable ’60s-pop-meets-buzzsaw-guitars sound. To mark the occasion, we present this clip of Reid and his younger brother Jim — plus then-drummer/Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie — bringing the noise on British television in 1985, performing “Just Like Honey” and “Inside Me” off of their debut Psychocandy.
