Howard Jones brings ‘Human’s Lib’/‘Dream Into Action’ tour back to U.S. this summer

Synthpop great Howard Jones is embarking on a U.K. tour this week that’ll find him performing his first two albums — 1984′s Human’s Lib and 1985′s Dream Into Action — in their entirety, and he’ll reprise that show for Americans this summer, following last fall’s short round of dates with another run through the States.

Jones has announced 10 U.S. dates so far, with all but two featuring the Human’s Lib/Dream Into Action show (fans in Minneapolis and El Cajon, Calif., will get an “Electronic Hits” set). The tour opens June 23 in Morristown, N.J., and runs through July 15 in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., stopping in Texas and New York along the way.

Jones’ U.K. tour gets under way on Wednesday.

  1. I saw this show in Hollywood last October. It’s very good, and HoJo is in top form…

  2. Hardly a ‘tour’ ! Half the dates are in California, I mean come one Howard, this is pathetic.

  3. Man, I am old.

I saw the original tour supporting the Eurythmics at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium back in ’84. M+M (remember them?) were also on the bill. I still remember getting chills listening to “Hide and Seek” live. Very good 80s moment.
