Inspiral Carpets to reissue debut album ‘Life,’ perform it on U.K. tour next spring

Madchester veterans Inspiral Carpets — who reunited last year with their original, ’80s-era lead singer, Stephen Holt — today announced plans to reissue their 1990 debut album Life and perform the record in its entirety, along with “the hits,” on a 10-date tour of the U.K. next March, the band announced on Facebook today.

Details of the reissue are not yet known, although the Inspirals report it has been remastered and will be accompanied by a long-awaited DVD release of the band’s out-of-print “21790 Live” concert film. As for the tour, it opens March 13 in Newcastle and wraps up March 29 in Manchester, hitting Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Nottingham and Wrexham along the way.
