OMD’s ‘Junk Culture’ reissue being re-pressed over bonus disc problems

OMD Junk Culture

Universal Music is advising Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark fans who’ve purchased the just-released deluxe-edition reissue of Junk Culture to return their copies to the retailers from which they purchased the album as it’s being re-pressed because of errors on Disc 2. Below, you can see the full statement posted to OMD’s website.

Statement on Junk Culture reissue

Due to production errors, all formats of the delxue Junk Culture reissue have the wrong tracklist (Wrappup is absent, and All Wrapped Up is erroneously in its place on Disc 2). Universal have advised that customers should send their copies back to the retailer they purchased from. Replacement copies fixing the above mistake will be sent out once available. We apologise for the error and hope that the rest of the reissue is proving enjoyable, particularly the long-awaited unreleased tracks.

Our friends at SuperDeluxeEdition have a more detailed accounting of the Junk Culture errors, which may go beyond what OMD has acknowledged and include issues with Disc 1 of the set as well.

I knew there was something wrong with the Wrappup track when checking the iTunes previews.

  2. So should I cancel my Amazon pre-order which comes out 3/10? Or will they have the fixed version going out then? Anyone have a guess?
