The Cure today announced the band’s first U.S. live dates since 2016, a pair of headlining appearances at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas, this October — though it’s not yet known whether these will be 30th anniversary performances of Disintegration.
The band will headline the two-weekend festival — Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13 — alongside Guns N’ Roses, Mumford & Sons, Childish Gambino, Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Tame Impala and Robyn.
To date, those are the only U.S. concerts The Cure has announced. But Robert Smith has made it clear fans can expect Disintegration anniversary performances — like those planned in Sydney in May — in the U.S. later this year. The band also has booked a variety of summer festival dates in Europe and Japan.
