Got a request? To be considered for next week’s show, drop it in the comments below by noon Tuesday. Requests will be considered as long as they fit the show’s format and generally within the 1stWave era — and provided the host doesn’t harbor an intense dislike of the song.

  1. Great show tonight!

  2. Great show! Can you please play the Soft Kill’s cover of Ministrys I’m Falling? Thanks!

  3. For next week, can you dig up Skinny Puppy’s … Censor (The Gutter Mix – Guru Remix); from Remix Dys Temper

  4. I think this was one of my favorite shows of the year. Hour 3 absolutely nailed it. Thanks very much for finding Breaking Circus. Love that song.

Sorry to throw another obscure one at you, but I came across a band I missed the first time around. Would like to request something from A Neon Rome. Maybe “The Magical Summer of 85” or “You Should Fear Us”.

Thanks for the music. It’s a great way to start the week. Have a good one.

  5. Great show – as usual! Could you, perhaps, play either “Stagger Lee” or “Red Right Hand” by Nick Cave. I would be ever so grateful!

  6. I have a request for a song, Psi Com, “Ho Ka Hey”.

  7. Fernando N

A lesser-known song by The Cure I have in mind would be “This Twilight Garden”

  8. Give the trophy to Hour 3 Matt. Very nice set. Looking forward to next week. Please consider GBH The Forbidden Zone. Have a great week all.

  9. The Jesus And Mary Chain’s Cover Of “Surf’n USA (Summer Mix) is Fit for this Sunday because of Summer vacation

  10. Some truly stellar selections! Whistling For His Love was on one of those Just Say Yes compilations. That’s how I “discovered” Danielle Dax.

Could you be so kind as to play a live version of Down in the Park by Gary Numan from living ornaments ‘79? Thanks

  11. Great show!
I wanted to see if you could somehow work some Can into this show. They may not necessarily fit the genre but I think that anyone that listens to the music on this show would also like Can. I was trying to think of a song of theirs that was the most Dark Wave esque.

    Can-Hunters and Collectors(Landed)

Let me know if you think it would fit Matt and if so give it a whirl.

  12. I love it when you play anything my Agent Orange. Being mindful of the darker side of punk, may I request the following:

    D.I. – Richard Hung Himself
TSOL – Red Shadows/Flowers By The Door
Misfits – Theme for a Jackal
Social Distortion – Mommy’s Little Monster
Stiff Little Fingers – Alternative Ulster
    The Damned – Plan 9, Channel 7
Suicidal Tendencies – I Saw Your Mommy
    The Cramps – TV Set
Agent Orange – Bite The Hand That Feeds (Pt. 1)

  13. Hello Matt wow what a great playlist. I haven’t heard Danielle Dax since those compilation cd’s!! Some suggestions for next time:

The Sisters of Mercy – Lights
The Cure – A Forest (Tree Mix)
Jesus and Mary Chain – Sometimes Always

  14. Great show as always. Can you please play Immunity- Round Midnight.

  15. Gigi Wall

Great show last night! I listen every week from Richmond, VA. I was hoping you’d play Bjork’s “Army of Me” because it’s so deep and dark and it makes me dance! I am such a huge fan of your show. Keep on rocking!
May the black clothing be with you…

  16. Pete Shelley – What Was Heaven?

  17. Thank you for gruesome twosome…and no devotion, bad blood, skinny puppy…just all of it. Looking forward to listening to the show over and over again. First I have to somehow let go of my obsession with watch take care from last week…what a gem that one is.
