  1. Great show. But Hour 2 (Big Black, Armageddon Dildos, Egg Hunt, and Gun Club) for the win.
Want to ask for KMFDM’s remake of “These Boots Are Made For Walking” (Bombs Remix) please.

    Thanks. Have a great week.

  2. “The Harsh Truth of the Camera Eye” by Morrissey for next (Easter) Sunday’s show

  3. Great show this week Matt.

I’d like to request Depeche Mode “Master and Servant”

  4. Great show tonight, Matt! Thank you for Joy Division.

  5. My goodness what a show Matt! And so many incredible requests this week, thanks for playing Pink Turns Blue along with all the other great requests. All three hours were superb, impossible to pick a winner. Big Black followed by Young Marble Giants followed by Sonic Youth followed by Egg Hunt, I didn’t think you could top the opening four from hour one, but wow. Yes to more Big Black.

Request for next week: Cocteau Twins – Wax and Wane.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  6. Can you please dig up

    Cotton Crown – Sonic Youth
    Joy Division – Passover
Depeche Mode – The Meaning Of Love
    The Cure – A Forest
Blancmange – Game Above My Head

  7. Great show Matt! Can you please play Darkside by Rosetta Stone?

    • Fantastic show as always Matt. Thank you!
Next week perhaps some Slowdive. It’s all great so take your pick.

  8. The hour after DW where you guest-hosted on Lust for Lists was great. Nice theme and lots of fun covers.

  9. Catherine Wheel: Shallow
The Heart Throbs: I Wonder Why
    Throwing Muses: Ellen West

  10. Deryl Donahue

Hey, Matt. How about 24 Hours by Joy Division from the 2nd John Peel session?

    Love the show!

  11. “No Love Lost” by Joy Division
    Thanks Matt

  12. Fantastic mix week after week. Standouts for me were tracks from Meat Beat Manifesto, Specimen, Nina Hagen and The Cult. For next week I’d love to hear Blue Oyster Cult’s “Nosferatu”. Not a band usually associated with goth, I know, but some of their vampire songs totally capture the vibe. Dark on!

  13. Whoa Matt great show – thank you for the Front 242 track!! So I was thinking…..chocolate bunnies and shoegaze?!?! Some possible suggestions for next time:

    The Verve – Slide Away
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart – Strange
Lush – Light from a Dead Star

    Thanks as always!! 。◕‿◕。

  14. Awesome show! Lusts for Lists was great too! Could you play Love and Rockets – My Drug? Thank you and have a great week.

  15. Man I love Aural Sculpture, I love the happy and healthy Jet Black in the official video.
In the name of warmer weather like it is here in Cleveland, consider Charlie Don’t Surf off Sandinista.
    Thanks Matt, Never Stop

  16. Now I get the point. Your show is all about hearing stuff we haven´t heard for aaaaages. So here´s my surprise track: “The Ghost in You” by Siouxsie and the Banshees of course. Alternatively I´d go for “The Whistleblowers” by Laibach. Thanks.

  17. A good Spring season selection this week!

    Here are some requests –

Killing Joke – We Have Joy
    Wipers – True Believer

    Thanks!

  18. Mention Lord Of The Flies and my mind won’t go to author Willian Golding. Nor the 1963 or 1990 film versions. Instead it lands on “We Are The Pigs” by Su…no The London Suede we call them now? Alright, whatever.

Impossible to recapture the glory of their debut album it seems as if the band intentionally drove this vehicle off the cliff on their second album Dogstar Man.

Critically acclaimed yes, but I was a kid. I wanted to rock. Should’ve known by the cover that this one was gonna be a bummer. I remember staring at the cover art depicting the nude figure on the bed. “I know your Suede, right? I get the whole melancholy thing but shouldn’t you put on some clothes? How long have you been laying here? Damn, don’t you remember we used to chase dragons together and shit, and now I can’t get you out of this room…Have you been taking your medication?”

Nonetheless Dogstar Man delivered the one two punch of “We Are The Pigs” and “Heroine.” The album really ended there for me then, but those two songs were enough. Dealer’s choice- either song would be great!

Thanks for playing Frank De Wulf! Another neat tidbit- he is best known by dj’s for his “b side” record series. In reality there were no “a” sides- he just made the tracks in his spare time when he could, knowing they could be better he called them…”b sides.”

    • Weird to reply to myself, but yes the name of the album is Dog Man Star, of course. Been watching the Stan Brakhage films lately, so the name flip flopped…

      • Funny you should bring up Dog Man Star as I just pulled my old CD copy out of the vault last week and gave the album a spin for the first time in a long while. Still holds up quite well despite the at times overwhelming sense of melodrama. And you’re right, Pigs and Heroine are total standouts. Some incredible b-sides from this record too, Killing a Flashboy being a standout and I believe was the selection last time Matt played a Suede track. Always been partial to My Dark Star, same period but off the stand alone first and second album tweener single Stay Together.

      • And thanks for bringing up Stan Brakhage, his films are incredible. Great song by Stereolab too!

  19. Josh Garcia

A song from under the floorboards – Magazine
Pearly dewdrops drops – Cocteau twins
Frankly Mr. Shankly – The Smiths
I wanna be adored – Stone roses
Almost with you – The Church

  20. The Danse Society – Wake Up

  21. Great show, Matt.
And also great Lust for lists show, nice to know they let you out of the Dark to shine some darkness for the masses. Great cover episode. I got 4 hours of DW!
Awesome that you played Bigod 20.
Could you do two weeks in a row and play “The Bog” by them?
Thanks. Next up for you- “Dark Party 360″…I can dream…

  22. You can never play too much big black.

  23. Twitching episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Ministry, “Over the Shoulder”

  24. Jonathan Leon

Is it possible to play 20 Jazz Funk Greats – Throbbing Gristle

  25. Thanks Matt for Meat Beat Manifesto. Anything by Jack Dangers is great.
    Here are some requests:
    Die Warzau – Money Afterall
    Sister Machine Gun – Burn

  26. I really love your show and thanks for playing the best music no one else will! Could you play some Electrafiction, Zephyr or Burned or whatever. Thanks!
