Got a request? Requests will be considered for future episodes as long as they fit the show’s format and generally within the 1stWave era — and provided the host doesn’t harbor an intense dislike of the song.

  1. While the Nina Hagan, TGT, and Spaceman 3 were all great cuts, Hour 3 was the winner. Bolshoi, Farenheit 451, Kissing the Pink, and John Foxx all put it over the edge for the win.

Thanks for the great show. Have a good week.

  2. “Have-A-Go Merchant” by Morrissey for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. How about “Caution” by The Chameleons?

  4. Let’s celebrate 40 years

    Death Cult:
God’s Zoo or With Love (Sea and Sky)

And some pre JAMC sounding Ramones:
My My Kind of a Girl

  5. Danielle Dax and any cut from Pretty hate Machine are always welcome cuts. FYI Whistling for His Love can also be found on one of the “Just Say Yes” Compilations, Just say Mao :D

  6. Jesus and Mary Chain – Teenage Lust

  7. Awesome as always Matt! Thanks so much for the Inspiral Carpets track ….. hour 2 crushed it for me!! Some possible suggestions for next time:

The Cure – The Last Day of Summer
Sisters of Mercy – Dominion/Mother Russia
Echo and the Bunnymen – Stormy Weather

    Thanks again as always!! 。◕‿◕。

  8. Could you play human fly by the cramps? Thanks!

  9. Roger Brockman

How about some Specimen. Returning from a journey.
The Mighty Lemon drops , Everything you do

  10. Constantine

Piggy in the Mirror by the Cure

  11. Mussolini Headkick – Empire

    Thanks Matt

  12. What a spectacular set start to finish, finely tuned! Loved hearing the new tracks. Suicide, Spacemen 3, and Suede were highlights. Also ACR and Fahrenheit 451.

I was spinning Burning from the Inside on the turntable a couple hours before the show started and thought to myself, ‘I can’t recall Matt having ever played Antonin Artaud.’ And then it’s the show closer! How about what may be Bauhaus’s loveliest song for a future show: ‘Hope’

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  13. Hour 3 was especially triumphant…nicely done, Matt!
Would love to hear in the future:

    Dead Can Dance – “Eleusis”
Trent Reznor & Peter Murphy – “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”
Front 242 – “Born To Breathe”
Cocteau Twins – “The Thinner The Air”
Revolting Cocks – “Beers, Steers & Queers”
This Mortal Coil – “Til I Gain Control Again”

    • Hi really enjoyed the public image limited song-order of death. I remember that from a miami vice episode.

Can you play Killing Joke – Change next week

  14. Awesome show Matt!!!! Thank you for the uptick in Shoegaze . Also great Inspiral Carpets choice!! Could we maybe hear Inspiral Carpets Niagara on the next show? Thanks Matt!

  15. “Europe is Our Playground” was unexpected perfection this week, thank you.

  16. “Terrorvision”

This is a band which practices what it preaches.
Gen is a true ringleader- talented, cerebral, beautiful, and more balls than any man I know…

  17. Lindsey L.

Hi, Matt! Thank you so much for playing my request – Now I can say I was mentioned on my favorite radio show. :D
Loved hearing Lords of the New Church right off the bat, and of course The The in hour 2.
