  1. I too am a big fan of Caroline and thank you kindly for the Clan of Xymox. I love it when you play TKK without me even having to ask and it’s even better when it’s a banger. Tonight was quite the treat of a show. Would you be so kind as to play :

    Wolfsheim- Once in a Lifetime

Very touching dedication this evening, I’m sure it brought a moment of happiness for someone. Thank you for doing the Lord’s work and outstanding show as always.

  2. “Soon” by My Bloody Valentine for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. Oh man, I love that Alien Sex Fiend track : – )

Since you played them next to each other, how about the song Absolute Body Control by DAF?

  4. Thanks for the requests. That may be my favorite NMA track off Vengeance. And I love Beserker.
So much great music tonight. Great cuts from Bowie, Concrete Blonde, Fiction Factory (many blessings to you and your family Tina), and NIN. Can’t pick a single hour tonight.

Great show. Will enjoy it many times over the next two weeks. Have a great one.

  5. Thanks for getting my request in. Yeah going through your old playlists I realized it’s been 10 years since I’ve been following the show. I know because when I was driving home to the Indian reservation here in northern New Mexico where fm reception is non existent I tuned to First wave and was surprised A Certain Ratio was being played. Then after a few minutes I realized ‘Dark Wave’ was on which explains the sudden eclectic playlist. Here is to 10 more years and yeah we need more blog posts. Adam Ant and Duran Duran are hitting my home state but I had to find out through other avenues so yeah I miss the tour news here as well.

  6. Great show like always, Matt! I loved hearing my life with the thrill kill kult tonight!

  7. Fernando N

How about “Icehouse” by Icehouse back when they still went by the name Flowers?

  8. It was such a pleasure being able to tune in live for once. My semester is winding to an end so I now have the opportunity to listen to your show regularly again. I loved hearing the cuts from Bauhaus, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Ghost Dance, and of course my favorite Love and Rockets. Thanks as always for all you do!

    Requests:
The Answer Is Clear – Peter Murphy
    Twist – Tones on Tail

  9. Thank you for another wonderful installment of Dark Wave! I’m always thrilled to hear Bowie in the mix. Other highlights include JAMC, Jane’s Addiction, Love and Rockets, and Wire.

A request for an upcoming show – I’m on a Smiths kick right now and would love to hear “Rubber Ring”. Thank you.

  10. Siouxsie & the Banshees – Paradise Place
    please & thanks Matt

  11. Would it be possible to have one of the times where Bowie came on and joined nin on “Reptile” next week?

  12. Hi Matt, great show as usual. I have a request for a future show – how about some Samhain? In My Grip (November Coming Fire ‘86) or Archangel (Initium ‘84)?

  13. Thanks for the Einsturzende Neubauten feature two weeks back! Great show this time too! Can you please play OKFM by Foetus, Inc.?

  14. The Durutti Column – Belgian Friends (1985)
    Ministry – Lava (1996)

  17. Lovely show, Matt, thank you.

I’d like to request Michelle by Clan of Xymox.

  18. Awesome set last night. Coin flip between hours 2 and 3 for me but hour 1 had some choice cuts as well. One of my all time fave Bowie tracks to kick off hour 2 was sublime. And the block from Au Pairs to Gary was particularly inspired. Lovely dedication to Tina in hour 3.

Request for a future show: “Dalliance” by The Wedding Present.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  19. Matt really good sets tonight with Absolute Body Control- is there an exit… loved it ! and first time hearing that. Others were My life with thrill kill Kult, killing Joke and Modern English.

    I am requesting Front 242 – HeadHunter
Or New Order – Everything’s Gone Green

  20. Great show as always- can you play Tubeway Army Are ‘Friends’ Electric?

  21. Oh and seriously loved Alien Sex Fiend – E.S.T. Trip To The Moon song you played!!!!

  22. Thank you so very much for the kind words and dedication song for my dad Matt. It is fitting that today was his wake. I absolutely loved the program this week – top notch as per usual! ❤️

Some possible suggestions for next time:

    Helmet – Milquetoast
    Ministry – Stigmata
    NIN – Ruiner

Thank you again as always! 。◕‿◕。

    • Tina, I hope you continue to find comfort and healing through music. Take care.

    • I’m very sorry to hear of your loss, Tina. I know exactly what you are experiencing. Wishing you all the best as you begin to navigate this new normal. And you don’t have to apologize to anyone for the way you grief, now and in the future. It is yours, it is personal and it is never wrong. And I agree with you, music is a greater healer. Take care.

      • Thank you so much for the kind words DJay….there is something especially sad knowing both your parents are no longer here with you. But family, friends, and music are my solace, and for that I am grateful. ❤️

    • Tubeway Army – Friends Are Electric

  23. The DAF track is actually called “Kebab-Träume” (Kebab Dreams). Not that anybody cares, I know…

  24. Jonathan Leon

Since RSD 2024 is this Saturday, Can you play The Sisters of Mercy – Body and Soul? That would be great!

  25. One of my favorite show so far this year. Can you play “I Want the Moon” by Leatherface or “The More I See” (Extended Version) by Discharge?

    – Tony
    Boston

  26. Good set! Particularly enjoyed the little EBM block!

  27. Great set, have listened to it twice already. Loved the AuPairs/Wire/Gang of Four block especially. Along those lines how about some Television Personalities?

  28. Thanks for making the announcement on how to make a request, I think Fad Gadget “collapsing new people” would fit in the show’s theme, as well as anything by Moev!

I love listening to this show, it reminds me of the late ’80s early ’90s when I was in the Navy, and any town I lived in I would always try to find whatever local venues would spin this kind of music.
    Cheers!
