Beggars Arkive this spring will reissue on colored vinyl the five post-Bauhaus solo albums that Peter Murphy released on the Beggars Banquet label between 1986 and 1995, plus a brand-new rarities disc featuring 10 demo versions, remixes and edits. Former Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy will perform a 15-night residency at The Chapel in San Francisco in June and July, performing “a retrospective of his greatest solo albums in their entirety” along with a handful of classic tracks from his prior band. Tickets for the concerts go on sale Monday.
Cherry Red Records next month will mark the 25th anniversary of Peter Murphy’s second solo album — 1988’s Love Hysteria, featuring the classic single “Indigo Eyes” — with an expanded 2CD reissue that will pair the remastered nine-track album with 13 home demos, B-sides and single edits and remixes.
