New Order performed its first U.S. concert in seven years Friday night at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival — but that won’t be the band’s only American appearance this year. The band says: ‘It’s great to back in the U.S., and we will be back for more shows later in the year when we have fulfilled our other live commitments around the world.’

Morrissey today announced a May concert in San Diego following his two Hawaiian appearances, along with delivering his customary tour-ending write-up in which he calls his just-completed trip to South America ‘the best tour of my life,’ and proceeds to rank the shows (Bogota, Colombia, claimed the No. 1 spot).

The complete studio output of Bob Mould’s acclaimed post-Hüsker Dü trio Sugar — 1992’s landmark ‘Copper Blue,’ the 1993 companion EP ‘Beaster’ and 1994 sophomore album ‘File Under: Easy Listening’ — will be reissued in the U.K. later this spring in expanded multi-disc CD/DVD editions.

Electronic project Soulsavers returns in May with a new album of songs featuring the vocal talents of Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan, and today we bring you the first single, ‘Longest Day,’ which is now streaming here. The full album, The Light the Dead See, is out May 22 via Mute Records.

After years of delays, Sony Music today announced that remastered version of My Bloody Valentine’s two albums — 1988′s ‘Isn’t Anything’ and 1991’s ‘Loveless’ — finally will be released this May alongside the new 2CD set ‘EPs 1988-1991,’ which will compile EPs, B-sides and three previously unreleased tracks.

As promised, he newly reunited Dead Can Dance will tour North America this summer, today announcing a 16-date tour of the U.S. and Canada this August and September that’ll include a two-night stand at New York City’s Beacon Theatre and a tour-ending show in Austin, Texas.

Having released their first album in 15 years last year, The Dead Milkmen continue to play live sporadically, and this week shared video of a performance in Washington, D.C., last month that saw the punk jokesters trot out a location-appropriate cover: Fugazi’s classic ‘Waiting Room.’

The Wedding Present this week released their eighth studio album ‘Valentina,’ and accompanying it is a new short film set to opening track ‘You’re Dead’ by director Nick Power. The 5:46-long clip reportedly features 29 different visual references to past Wedding Present songs and/or albums.

Paul Weller this week released his brand-new solo record ‘Sonik Kicks’ in the U.K. (it’s out in the U.S. next week), and now comes the fourth video from the album, a potentially seizure-inducing montage of brightly colored images, words and computer graphics set to opening track ‘Green.’

The reunited Dead Can Dance this week released the fourth installment in its series of free, four-track digital EPs collecting live material recorded on the band’s 2005 tour. ‘Live Happenings — Part IV,’ which can be downloaded here, features in-concert recordings of ”I Can See Now,” “American Dreaming” “Sanvean” and “Rakim.”

Nick Cave will say goodbye to his garage-blues side project Grinderman with the release next week, in the U.K., of the 12-track remix album called ‘Grinderman 2 RMX,’ collecting new and previously released mixes of cuts from the band’s sophomore album by members of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, UNKLE and Queens of the Stone Age.
