BACKSTORY:
 The original lineup of Killing Joke — Jaz Coleman, Kevin “Geordie” Walker, Martin “Youth” Glover and Paul Ferguson — this week releases, in the U.K., the band’s 15th studio album, featuring tracks such as “In Cythera,” “Rapture,” “On All Hollow’s Eve” and “Colony Collapse” (see full tracklist here).

BACKSTORY:
 Moz this week reissues, in the U.K, his 1988 solo debut in a new edition remastered by original producer Stephen Street and featuring a tweaked tracklist: “The Ordinary Boys” has been replaced by “Treat Me Like a Human Being,” a period outtake first released last year as a B-side to the “Glamorous Glue” reissue single.

ARTIST : fIREHOSE 
RELEASE:
 “lowFLOWs” the Columbia Anthology (’91-’93)
BACKSTORY: The reunited fIREHOSE — the band formed by Mike Watt and George Hurley following the 1985 death of their Minutemen bandmate D. Boon — this week releases a new 2CD set that compiles the band’s major-label output plus four unreleased cuts (see full tracklist here).

ARTIST : Elvis Costello
RELEASE: The Return of the Spectacular Spinning Songbook!!!
BACKSTORY:
 The not-all-that lavish box set that the bespectacled singer himself railed against last fall has actually increased in price over the intervening months — Amazon.com now lists it at $297, up from $260 — but, as promised, fans this week will be able snap up a slimmed-down repackaging of the set (details here).
