Synth pioneer Gary Numan will return to U.S. shores late this summer for a very short run of concerts on the West Coast, performing at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle in late August and, while he’s here, playing shows in California and Oregon as well.
The tour opens Aug. 28 in Sacramento, then hits Eugene, Ore., Bumbershoot, Portland, Ore., Oakland, Calif., and Santa Ana, Calif.
Numan is set to release his long-in-the-works album Splinter on Oct. 14.
A previously announced U.K. tour in support of the album follows in November.

He is now living in California, so he’s not really “returning” to U.S. shores.
Gary Numan MOVED TO LA in late 2012 from the UK. He has a documentary coming out about it to be released near his new cd release. the documentary is called an “Android in LALALAND”…….FYI
I LOVE Gary Numan, but I’ll probably won’t go see him again unless he does an “album” show. I checked is most recent setlist (December, 2012), it it was 70% newer material that I don’t recognize.
