The Replacements’ reunion train continues to roll on, and now will hit the Pacific Northwest late this summer as Seattle’s Bumbershoot this week announced its 2014 lineup, which will feature the ‘Mats, Elvis Costello, Mission of Burma, The Afghan Whigs, Jonathan Richman, The Dream Syndicate and more.
KEXP continues to post stellar video filmed at its Bumbershoot Music Lounge during the Seattle music festival, this time coming up with a 30-minute set from Gary Numan. As you can see here, Numan plugs in for a trio of songs from his new album, plus a couple tracks from the early 2000s and his classic “Cars.”
Seattle’s KEXP has just shared video of a blistering, half-hour set by Bob Mould filmed by the radio station during last month’s Bumbershoot festival that finds the rocker tearing through a set comprised of three songs apiece off Sugar’s Copper Blue, his latest solo album Silver Age and Hüsker Dü’s Flip Your Wig.
Synth pioneer Gary Numan has expanded what was to be a very short run of West Coast dates in late summer by adding concerts in the Eastern U.S. this October leading up to a pair of opening slots on Nine Inch Nails’ fall arena tour in October. All told, Numan is now planning 13 North American shows through Oct. 31.
Gary Numan will return to U.S. shores late this summer for a very short run of concerts on the West Coast, performing at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle in late August and, while he’s here, playing shows in California and Oregon as well. The tour opens Aug. 28 in Sacramento.
