You’ll hear nothing but Bauhaus & Family on tonight’s edition of Sirius XM’s ‘Dark Wave’

For those not lucky enough to be at tonight’s first Bauhaus concert in 13 years, be sure to tune in to the Slicing Up Eyeballs-hosted “Dark Wave” at 10 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Pacific on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave for a special Bauhaus & Family edition.

Yes, that means tonight’s “Dark Wave” — programmed and hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian — will feature three hours of nothing but music by Bauhaus and its spinoffs/side projects, including Tones on Tail, Dalis Car and Love and Rockets, as well as solo work from Peter Murphy, David J and Daniel Ash.

The playlist will include popular favorites, album cuts, rarities, live tracks, covers and more.

The full original lineup of Bauhaus is performing the first of three reunion concerts at the Hollywood Palladium tonight. The band, which has not played live since 2006, also will perform at the Palladium on Monday night and again on Dec. 1. There has been no word about any further concerts.

“Dark Wave,” exploring the darker side of classic alternative, airs every Sunday night at 10 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Pacific on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave (Channel 33), and can be streamed On Demand on the Sirius XM app.

  1. Very kind.

I can’t make the show but I hope they pull out lesser heard songs like Sanity Assassin, Black Stone Heart and Largatija Nick. Also, for Chist’s sake Daniel pick up your saxophone!

  2. Looking forward to it!
