  1. Thanks for the shoutout! To say that made my night would be a real understatement. Always love tuning in to your program and hearing great music. Your show is what triggered my interest in Love & Rockets so thanks a bundle for getting me hooked on the stellar musician that is Daniel Ash. It’s definitely changed my life in so many ways.

  2. Great show. “Secrets”, “Permafrost”, and Dead Can Dance gave it to Hour 1 for the win this time. But the Shoegaze set and final set of music gave it a run for the money.

Thanks for the great show. Have a good week.

  3. Great show tonight Matt! Sunday nights are great because of this show.

  4. “She’s a Carnival” by Siouxsie + the Banshees for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  5. Awesome show, Matt! It was wonderful to hear Kingdom of Rain, Black Celebration, and Spring-Heeled Jim, among so many other great selections. Very much looking forward to next Sunday. Hope you enjoy your week as much as we enjoy your show! <3

  6. That was a spectacular set list. Was great to hear NiN leading off, thanks! Kingdom of Rain was pretty great too, it still gives me chills and, of course I can’t not enjoy Siouxsie and Curve. Always a nice way to close out the weekend, even if I can’t listen to the end, but I do catch up during the week.

  7. Great show as usual. May I request the alternate version of “Hiroshima Mon Amour” by Ultravox?

I like the album version, BUT the alternate take has a bit more punch.

  8. Ministry’s So What should be a staple. I was very happy to hear that song, and NIN Dead Souls in the same hour!

  9. DAF
    VAUXHAUL
    THE FALL
    DCD

    A near overdose
    Thank YOU SIR!!!

  10. Wowza Matt great set tonight – hour 2 was my personal standout hour, but all were stellar. We are indeed lucky to have this weekly broadcast to look forward to!! I’m feeling an industrial vibe today – some possible suggestions for next time:

Moev – Crucify Me (12″ version)
    KMFDM – Anarchy
    Skinny Puppy – Dig It

    Thanks again as always!! 。◕‿◕。

  11. PiL : Fat Chance Hotel
    Eugenius: Indian Summer
The Boo Radleys: Does This Hurt?

    • Wow, haven’t though of Eugenius in ages, good call Mark! I remember they were Captain America before they changed their name to Eugenius. Kurt Cobain was a huge fan.

Great Boo Radleys track as well!

  12. Rosetta Stone – Smalltown Boy

  13. Spectacular set Matt! The very slightest of edges goes to hour 2 for me but hours 1 and 3 were really great as well. The The and Pale Saints were highlights and that was a perfect show closer from The Fall, great track.

Can you dig up a very deep cut by the Bunnymen for a future show? B-side on The Cutter single, “Way Out and Up We Go”

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  14. Wow! Gloomy Sunday. A good friend of mine and all-around lovely human named Chris unexpectedly passed away this week during a routine medical procedure. Gitane Demone was one of his favorite singers. Hearing her sing that brought me to tears. If you have her “Lullaby for a Troubled Man” I’d love to send that out in his memory. Or if you’d just like to go more cheerful, “Jesus, Where’s The Sugar?” would be great too.

I’m really happy that Lucy Show has been making a more regular appearance. Come Back To The Living would be great : – )

I don’t recall hearing DAF’s Absolute Body Control on the show. Love that song.

  15. Missed the show last night because we were rocking out to The Thrill Kill Kult – they played a great set! ADULT. was also pretty fantastic, might be a little more ‘new school’ but would fit in to your format pretty well I think!

a couple playlist ideas for a future show: Nervous Xians by TKK or for something completely different, Bounty Killers by Depth Charge – a late 80’s, spaghetti-western sampling, breakbeat masterpiece.

Now to listen to the recording of last night’s show – Playlist looks awesome! Thanks as always!

  16. Thanks for the This Mortal Coil! And coming out of “Kingdom of Rain”? Perfect for my morning hike.

Also, I recently bought “Geography” and “Beers, Steers & Queers” on vinyl thanks to you.

My favorite show on Sirius XM by far!

  17. Great DW!

    Here are some requests –

    Executive Slacks – Wide Fields
    The Effigies – West

    Thanks!

  18. Hey Matt

Such a Gloomy Sunday, indeed – just how we like it. Thanks a hundred times over for your excellent and awesome set-lists. Always makes my i-Phone warn me that I have the volume turned up Too Loud – for Too Long! ;-)

Here’s another nice “warm weather” request – Things to Remember // Peter Murphy

    Cheers!

  19. Killer show!!! How about
    The Chameleons- Monkeyland
    Twin Tribes- Fantasmas
Fields of the Nephilim – Moonchild

  20. Deadly episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Nine Inch Nails, “Dead Souls”

    Great show opener.

  21. Randall Griffith

Hi, please play Nina Hagen’s version of Lucky Number for one of the upcoming shows.

    Randall

  22. Wow! Amazing show one of the best yet Kingdom of Rain and Doubts Even Here were definitely my favorites this week

How about In Our Angel Hood by Cocteau Twins or Darkness Before Dawn by Killing Joke for a future show

  23. Great show! I liked hearing the old Dead Can Dance.
I have a request for “Man Should Surrender” from Pailhead.
