  1. Hell yeah Misfits, what a great request. Lady Shave is always a good listen. You’ve been treating 2024 to some of your absolute best shows. One of my favorite songs is a Chris Payne single, so could we please hear:

    The Electronic Circus- Direct Lines

You cannot go wrong with the original, thank you for Spiritual Cramp.

  2. Hi Matt, it was a great episode tonight. I would like to hear Lead into Gold – Faster than Light
    Goodnight!

  3. Can you dig out next week

    Joy Division – Auto Suggestion
    Kraftwerk -HallOf Mirrors
Nine Inch Nails -Something I can Never Have
    Depeche Mode- Halo
New Order – Everything’s Gone Green
    NEU! – Fur Immer

  4. Thanks for the Eleven Pond. So many great cuts tonight, I can’t pick one hour over the other. May be my favorite show thus far in 2024.

Could I ask for The Heart Throbs “I, The Jury” on an upcoming episode?
Thanks for the great show. Will be listening to it again and again this week. Have a good one.

  5. “Bird Song” by Lene Lovich

  6. I love the choices for The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Christian Death :)

I have a few more requests for the upcoming weeks
    Any Strawberry Switchblade song
    This Love – Daniel Ash
Temple of Love – Sisters of Mercy
    Riboflavin – 45 Grave
One Hundred Years – The Cure

  7. Fernando N

I’ve yet to hear a song by Positive Noise on First Wave, so how about “Feel The Fear” by them?

  8. Another fine offering of Dark Wave! Thank you for playing my request for Nick Cave. Many highlights for me including X, JAMC, Love and Rockets, Misfits, Concrete Blonde…

I’m going back to David Bowie for a future request: “TVC15”
    Thank you!

  9. Solid gold three hours, especially with Gang of Four to close out hour 1. The bookends of each hour were just fantastic. Misfits are always great, loved hearing Galaxie 500 and Mercury Rev back to back, nice to have Fad Gadget back, I’ll take as much Nick Cave as we can get, This Mortal Coil made me think of Lost Highway, and that was a killer cut from John Cale in hour 3.

Been a long while since we’ve heard something from The Wake. How about a dealer’s choice selection? “Of the Matter” or “Talk About the past” if you’re inclined to go with one of their Factory era singles would be good, but I’d love to hear anything. Are The Wake the only band to have been on two of the all time great indie labels, Factory and Sarah?

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  10. Nouvelle Vague – Too Drunk To Fuck (2004)
The Dance – In Lust (1982)

  11. Emily – Reflect on Rye

  12. Wowza excellent program this week Matt – hours 2 & 3 were especially epic!! I’m feeling random with my requests this week so in the spirit of things I will select the last 3 songs I heard on my walk this morning on Pandora’s Ministry radio!!

Faith No More – From Out of Nowhere
    Skinny Puppy – Smothered Hope
    Bad Mouth – Fugazi

Who am I to argue with this awesome–ness?!?!

    Thanks again as always!! 。◕‿◕。

  13. Great flow in each hour (especially the bookends).

    Here are some requests –

The Damned – Ignite (or anything featuring the lineup of Vanian/Sensible/Gray/Scabies that will be touring this summer/fall in the US)
Executive Slacks – In and Out

    Thanks!

  14. your listener’s story of going to Wax Trax! and having their musical mind expanded really struck a chord with me – I was one of those kids too, way back when. Changed me forever!

The whole show was outstanding, and thanks for playing Flashback! I wish Ministry had played a few more from LORAH and/or TMiaTTTT last week – jelly of the fans that are getting burning inside and so what on the tour now! But, I can’t complain, it was a very good concert – including Front Line Assembly, they were fantastic. Could you perhaps play Iceolate in an upcoming show?

    thanks Matt!

  15. Love em all but those first three albums by DM are my favorites. Thanks again

  16. Louis Canon

    Hi Matt.
    I would like to include:
    Bauhaus – Lagartija Nick
    Soft Cell – Martin

  17. hey matt! great show as always. would love to hear anything off of Lift, or the sisters’ cover of knockin on heaven’s door. thanks for the great music

  18. Hey Matt!

Great job as always! Of course really loved hearing Mercury Rev “Frittering” (an all time fave), as well as Leather Strip… Sweet!

Have you heard those (relatively) recent collabs between Ed Kaspel and Cevin Key? Perhaps you could play one of them on Dark Wave sometime this Spring?… sure am looking forward to the impending time-change!

Night Flower // Cevin Key (w/ Edward Kaspel)
Watching You // Cevin Key (w/ Edward Kaspel)

    Cheers!

  19. Good morning Matt. The tour of Ministry, FLA and Gary Numan is going to be amazing. So looking forward to them here in Colorado. How about tossing in FLA – Search and Destroy and Gary Numan – My Name is Ruin to your upcoming set list.

  20. Hi Matt
What an incredible playlist and I think it is the best yet with Mission of Burma- That’s when I reach for my revolver ( Still playing in my head), Love and Rockets, My Bloody Valentine, The Cure and Belfegore. Thanks for Gang of Four!

  21. A Request for daylight savings time, we will be losing an hour of sleep this Sunday so I request this as we wont get that extra sleep.

Simple Minds – The Big Sleep

  22. Loved the X, haven’t heard them in a while! Thanks for the Cruelty mix last week. Also loved hearing the Young Gods the week before that. I partied with them in LA in the early 90’s. I think my friend Rita slept with one of them!

  23. I’d like to request Sacrificed by Edge of Sanity, they’re actually a Swedish death metal band that did a one-off (I think?) goth style song. I recently discovered it through a friend and was surprised how much I liked it. Missed the show last week so looking forward to tomorrow!
