U2 today announced that Lenny Kravitz, The Fray and Interpol will open most of the band’s 360° Tour stadium concerts in North America this summer when the massive trek returns for a second round.
U2 this morning announced a “final” concert on this summer’s second North American leg of its massive 360° Tour: June 3 in Salt Lake City, a date that now becomes the opening night of the Bono and Co.’s 2010 return to the U.S.
Rough night for the handful of ’80s college-rock vets nominated for Grammy Awards this year: Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, U2, Elvis Costello, David Byrne and Brian Eno, and Ministry all were shut out tonight for trophies in their respective categories, losing, in most cases, to more current acts.
Last year’s six-string doc “It Might Get Loud” was a must-see for fans of U2’s The Edge, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin or The White Stripes’ Jack White — or anyone, really, who appreciates loud rock guitar.
