  1. Kickass Halloween playlist Matt!

  2. “Love + Kisses” by Altered Images for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. Brilliant show, Matt – can’t wait to hear it again on Halloween night! I’ve been looking forward to it all month long, and, needless to say, it did not disappoint; just perfect.
Hope you have an awesome week! <3

  4. For next can you dig out

Clan Of Xymox – A Day (Remix)
    Joy Division – Autosuggestion
    Depeche Mode – Halo
    New Order – Ceremony
Nine Inch Nails – Something I Can Never Have
    Sonic Youth – Cotton Crown

  5. Quite the playlist this year! Interesting that you didn’t play something from Siouxsie’s Juju album but played a cut from a different album. An Interesting and welcome surprise. Always look forward to the Halloween special.

  6. Next week could we get “Murder” by New Order

  7. Perfect playlist for Halloween! I don’t look forward to the weekend ending but I was excited to stream your show for the Monday morning commute. Thank you, Matt!

And I’d like to make a request for an upcoming show (in a shoegaze segment):
    Ride “Like a Daydream”

    • That is killer request Nicole. I remember Matt played Ride’s “Like a Snowflake” last year around Christmas. Check that out if you haven’t heard it before, pretty cool track.

      • Hi Nathan, Yes, I remember Matt playing it last year! It was the first time I had heard it…It’s one of the many joys of listening to this show – hearing a mix of new and old tunes. I’ve enjoyed the recent shoegaze blocks so I thought I would throw in a request for one of my favorites from Ride. So glad to know you’re a fan too!

        • Ride are so good. If you get a chance to see them on tour in January with The Charlatans you don’t want to miss em. When I saw them back in February they played Nowhere in its entirety and then came out and played another four songs for the encore. Great show!

  8. I’m not sure ‘spectacular’ is a strong enough adjective for just how perfect this set was Matt. I was very happy that I was able to listen live from start to finish. That opening to hour 2 was quite powerful with The Funeral Party and Suffer Little Children. Such an amazing flow to the entire set, you really outdid yourself this week, many many thanks. I’ll be listening to this one on the app all week.

Xtina, Rob, Brad, and Nicole have already thrown out some awesome requests so I’ll just second any one of those. Great selections!

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  9. Throwing Muses – Bright Yellow Gun

  10. Wow great spooktacular playlist!!!! I can’t wait to listen to it in it’s entirety. Thank you for the Concrete Blonde….it’s a staple! Some possible suggestions for next time:

    Tones on Tail – Go
Gary Numan – Down in the Park
    The Cure – At Night

    Thanks again as always!! 。◕‿◕。

  11. Great show, perfect set! Happy Halloween all!

  12. Great playlist! Request for a future episode- “The Devil is an Englishman ” by Thomas Dolby.

  13. I was not expecting the Violent Femmes on the Halloween Spectacular, but “Country Death Song” fit in quite nicely. I just saw them on Friday wrapping up their current tour and they still sound phenomenal. Cheers, Matt

  14. Excellent Halloween spectacular last night!! I look forward to that all year!

  15. Another good Halloween DW!

    Here are some requests –

    Executive Slacks – Smoking Man
    Sort Sol – Marble Station

    Thanks!

  16. Dark Wave Halloween Spectacular, indeed!!! Great show, Matt. Thank you.

  17. Great playlist this year. Was so happy to hear Violent Femmes “Country Death Song”, and back to back with Gun Club was perfect.

Have a great week and Happy Halloween.

  18. Ghostly episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Depeche Mode, “Ghosts Again”

    “Everybody says goodbye”

  19. Some great choices here! Saw Nick Cave at the Orpheum on the 28 for the first time, and I rather enjoyed it! On a side note: Duran Duran covers Siouxsie on their new album, I thought that was pretty cool!

  20. I’m requesting Stranger to Stranger – Evening Opus (Pts. 1, 2 & 3), please?

  21. Really enjoyed the Halloween Special Sunday!!!
Past suggested songs played by Dead Kennedys, Bauhaus, Ministry were played.

Have a request: The Sisters of Mercy – Lucretia My Reflection or maybe Ministry – Here we go – off of Ministry with Sympathy

    : )

  22. Great Halloween show Matt!!!! And it’s about damn time DW got a bonus replay! My Question is why dont Dark Wave get a least one replay during the week. Lust for list and other shows do.

  23. Request for DarkWave or for next Halloween: Shriekback “Nemesis.” (Perhaps this is frequently requested, though?).
