  1. Thanks for scaring up The Creatures live Matt!
Your show is always the perfect nightcap to the weekend. You’re the best!

  2. “Hypocrite” by Lush for (the next after next) Sunday’s show. Thanx!

  3. Eclectic playlist, Matt. Thank you.

Can I please request ‘Here I Am’ by Gary Numan.

  4. Hi, Matt! This episode has been amazing; so many great ones right off the bat in hour 1, and I particularly loved your ending hour 2 with back-to-back Anne Clark and Depeche Mode.
As the episode after next will (almost!) coincide with my 19th birthday, it would be wonderful to hear I’ve Been Waiting for Tomorrow (All of My Life) by The The sometime during that installment. Soul Mining came to me exactly when I needed it, and quickly became my favorite companion for many late nights spent thinking about life; I love that album so much. <3
Thank you for this awesome show – Hope you have a great week! <3

  5. addictedtonoise

Please consider Arch Of The Aorta by Fad Gadget for an upcoming show. Thanks!

  6. Great to hear Adam Any’s Physical as well as KMFDM Power. Both of which are personal classics for me.

  7. Would love to hear “Gal” off the new Drop Nineteens album in a future set!

  8. Awesome setlist! Starting off with Dazzle was brilliant and you played some dusty oldies which was a nice treat. Really enjoyed it, thanks!

  9. It’s always a great show when Kraftwerk is pulled out, as well as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Adam and the Ants, and Love and Rockets. So thankful for your program!

I’ve been listening to the new Simple Minds album Live at Paisley Abbey a lot recently. Could you possibly play a track from Simple Minds’ New Gold Dream in a future installment? Thanks!

  10. The first hour was just showing off of what a solid set is honestly. Top marks for the industrial specifically. Thank you so very much for the Adam & the Ants song. Speaking of Ministry going on another tour with the same great lineup, for next week it would be painfully cool to hear:

Ministry- Same Old Madness (Video Version)

Also, Alien Sex Fiend? You’re showing out tonight.

  11. Depeche Mode – Fragile Tension

  12. Really awesome playlist Matt! Loved the Ministry track and super big thank you for playing my SOM request!!! It’s been awhile since we had a shoegaze extravaganza…..some possible suggestions for next time:

    The Verve – Slide Away
    Slowdive – Machine Gun
    Curve – Horror Head

    Thanks again as always!!! 。◕‿◕。

  13. Was coming in and out of the room while this episode was on and am looking forward to listening fully – great tracklist! Really enjoyed the Ryuchi Sakamoto and ogHr tracks – this might be a little too close to the halloween episode but how about Severed Heads’ Dead Eyes Opened for a future show?

    thanks matt!

    • Oh yesss! Dead Eyes Opened is superb and one of those songs that stays with you throughout the course of the entire day! Def second that one, Evan :-)

  14. Another sweet show! Thanks for playing my Gang of Four request. Loved hearing Crime & The City Solution and Throbbing Gristle as well, inspired selections. And Kraftwerk and Ryuichi Sakamoto was a groovy double whammy.

You got me thinking about Jazz Butcher last week, such an underrated band. RIP Pat Fish. How about ‘Southern Mark Smith” in a couple of weeks?

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  15. Tricky episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    ohGr, “Tricks”

    Request for future show:
    Logic System, “Unit”

  16. Enjoyed all the selections this week! The covers and the tracks from Faulter/Front 242 were standouts.

    Here are some requests –

The Smiths – Back to the Old House (album or even the Peel sessions version – I always think of this song when the Thanksgiving holiday week comes around)

And anything off of Loveless, as the album was released 32 years(!) ago on 11/4.

    Thanks!

  17. Thanks for playing my requests last night, I really appreciate it!
Seeing as you played Leftfield, how about a request of their remix of “Renegade Soundwave” from of course, Renegade Soundwave?

  18. Hey Matt!

Awesome Nov 5 show – every hour! What a nice flow!! — errr, well something was actually just up with the SXM app just now as it literally “sliced out” everything between the live Depeche Mode and the ohGr track? First time I’ve heard something like that happen – but thanks for playing “Baaaaad Med-sin” – I do see it on the play list! (Remember that ELph vs. Coil album “Worship the Glitch??). I’ll still happily take whatever I can get from your show every week! ;-)

Anyway, they (Ian and Billy) had a killer transition between Resurrection Joe and Phoenix during their recent show in LA. So I’ll request either one of those tracks for a show later on in Nov/Dec (you pick the track).

    Resurrection Joe // The Cult
    Phoenix / The Cult

    Cheers!

  19. M. A. Danger

I would like to hear Blue Rosebud by the Residents. Or Walter Westinghouse.

  20. Rodney Jones

Greetings Matt, wanted to request you play a song by Lead Into Gold, specifically something from one of their earlier Wax Trax! Records releases. Thanks in advance.

  21. Also enjoyed the humor with “Three Girl Rhumba”.

  22. Fantastic show Matt! That extendo-remix of Dazzle is a personal fave and was a great opener, and the close with In The Power We Entrust was the perfect bookend. Loved hearing Rowland, The Mercy Seat, Stigmata, Creatures and Alien Sex Fiend. And I think I forgot to thank you for playing Red Over White a couple weeks back. Thanks for listening to our requests!

I know the Christmas show is weeks away, but I’d like to request SATB’s version of Il Est Ne Le Divin Enfant, if the mood suits you. I’m a Sioux fiend, what can I say LOL.

  23. Hey Matt – could you play the live Joy Division “New Dawn Fades” from the “24 Hour Party People” soundtrack? With Billy Corgan, John Frusciante and Moby backed by New Order? It rocks! Much appreciated as always :)

  24. You know Matt, some of my favorite things about your show is the shoegaze portion. It compelled me to request
    -LUSH – sweetness.

  25. Thanks for playing Rash of Stabbings. Sadly, the On Demand is missing the first four songs of Hour 3. So it jumped from Depeche Mode to ohGr. Great selections from Cure, KMFDM, and Wire. Helluva show overall.

Thanks for the great music. Hope you have a great week.

    • Yeah – noticed the very same thing other day – the On Demand SXM App is depriving us of the full Dark Wave experience, cutting out our favorite tracks !! :o

  26. I just discovered this show a couple weeks ago and have been enjoying it immensely! Thanks for putting such amazing shows together every week. My favorites this week were The Creatures and Ryuichi Sakamoto tracks— so good!

I would love to hear “Follow Me Down” by Swallow for a future Shoegaze segment.

  27. Chapterhouse – Die, Die, Die
