  1. “December Will Be Magic Again” by Kate Bush for the Christmas Eve show

  2. Another killer show Matt
My bday is the 27th, would love it if you could scare up “Red Wrapping Paper” – the Creatures
    Thanks

  3. Excellent show tonight Matt, and thank you for Joy Division.

  4. Swing by Lowlife (Diminuendo)

    Great show!

  5. Half Man Half Biscuit- All I want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague away kit.

  6. Lovely hearing that version of “Marian” by Wayne Hussey. That was incredible. And of course the Tones and Bauhaus cuts were much enjoyed by yours truly.

I’m going to be starting my final semester of college at the turn of the new year and I could really use some cheer to keep my spirits up. I’m really anxious about succeeding and doing well. I’d love to hear one of my comfort songs below on an upcoming show. I know last year New Year’s Eve or Day had a remix themed show so feel free to throw in a remix of any of these songs, if necessary.

Sweet Lover Hangover – Love and Rockets
No Worries – Love and Rockets
Walk This Way – Daniel Ash
    Flame On – Daniel Ash

  7. great playlists last night, all 3 hours had good stuff. I was surprised Juke Joint Jezebel made it as that’s KMFDM’s probably most popular poppy song, which I also love. Keep up the great work!

  8. Awesome set Matt, was able to listen this week live from start to finish. Funny side note, Sirius played “Pleasure and Pain” by Divinyls instead of The Chameleons. Not quite the same, haha.

I really enjoyed the tribute to Geordie, great selections. And of course the shoegaze block. Thanks for introducing me to Bleach.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

    • That was certainly a trip! Divinyls instead of Chameleons! I mean, I do like that song and her voice is intense – but…. somehow… not the same! ;-)

  9. Hugh Cornwell!!!! WoW and Thank You!

    Got any Buzzcocks layin’ around??

    Great Job Never Stop!

  10. How about sin by nine inch nails? Ty

  11. Great tribute to Geordie!

Looking forward to the Christmas DW in a few weeks. Here’s one possible request to add –

Love Spirals Downward – Welcome Christmas

    Thanks!

  12. Theatre of Hate – Legion

  13. The Snow Miser Song – 45 Grave

  14. I think Killing Joke may be my most appreciated discovery from listening to Darkwave over the last few years. i knew a couple of the hits but their full catalog – sooo goood. Thanks for the great tribute in this week’s show.

I think you may have all the rest of the year’s episodes in the can, but just in case the door is still open for NYE requests, about 2 hours after that show concludes it’ll be my my wonderful wife’s birthday. I was wondering if I could request a Depeche Mode song for her off of 101 (where if you listen _really_ carefully you can hear her cheering in the background). Somebody, if possible, thanks!

  15. Hey Matt!

Awesome KJ/Geordie tribute – really enjoyed that!!

These mid-December days are short and nights are long! Which leads to these requests:

    Things Happen // Coil
Break the Black Ice // Death in June

    … Happy Holidays!!

    Cheers

    • PS – the “Rose McDowall vocals version” for the latter – found on The Corn Years compilation (she of Strawberry Switchblade fame!). :)

  16. I have literally never heard any Medicine song played from anywhere but my own stereo, so thanks!

Would you, could you, play the live version of “Rosegarden Funeral of Sores” by Bauhaus? It’s been a favorite of mine since I first heard it on the Rutgers University radio station back in 1986-ish.

  17. Great show and a fantastic selection for the Geordie tribute. Let’s hear some Crash Worship. How about “Wild Mountain”? I’ve seen hundred of shows but nothing ever compared to Crash Worship. I’m sure anyone that has seen them will agree.
    Cheers!

  18. Randall Griffith

Hey, was really tripped up to hear the Divinyls in place of Chameleons – thanks, SiriusXM :/

Would love to hear any Microdisney, particularly something from “The Clock Comes Down the Stairs”

Love the show! My week’s highlight!

  19. Superb show!

    Shoegaze rocks my world…
