  1. Great show. My birthday is Dec. 27. May I ask for a belated birthday gift of some live Gary Numan? Thank you.

  2. Hi Matt! Excellent Christmas Edition last night! I am looking forward to next week’s New Years Eve show. That should be a fun episode! Merry Christmas everyone!

  3. Really fun show last night. 3 songs by The Fall wow, Santa came early! So many great cover versions too. Really glad you ended with Iggy and Sinead, that was perfect.

  5. Hey Matt!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks for all that you do – !! :)

Well, we can never request enough Rozz W. on Dark Wave! IMO. Listened to Catastrophe Ballet in its entirety earlier today – and then followed that up with Ashes! So here’s a related request ….

    Face // Christian Death

  6. Great great Christmas Eve show (by the setlist) …. so many favorites! With today’s festivities I haven’t listened to it past the first hour, but am looking forward to it! Thank you for giving all of us this outlet every week. It soothes the dark soul.

  7. Public Image Ltd – Solitaire

  8. Merry Christmas, Matt. Thanks for a great year of music and moldy oldies! Hell of a Christmas special and you ended it on a perfect note. Thanks.

  9. And for the next punk block:

    Devil Doll – X

  10. Thank you for playing the Galaxy 500 request! I’m glad it worked for the Christmas playlist. I loved the variety of the show. I was thrilled to hear the Low song – that Christmas ep is a gem.
And I love that Ramones song too!
Thank you Matt for the awesome weekly soundtrack. Cheers to you and the Dark Wave listeners!

  11. Two of my favorites are “Shouldn’t Have Given Him a Gun For Christmas” by Wall of Voodoo and “There Ain’t No Sanity Clause” by The Damned…hope everyone had a lovely Christmas

  12. Hi Matt
Happy Holidays and hope you are feeling better.
I do love the shoegaze hour, a good way to wind down from the week.
My request is LYCIA Band Song – Incenerate from Wake album. ***Hints of Cocteau Twins and The Lucy show.
Thanks for playing Captain Sensible on your Xmas show.

  13. Great set! New contender for fav galaxie 500 / Luna track… sorry, Indian Summer. Sinead’s closer was perfect. Thanks and happy new year!

  14. thanks for another great show.
I do not know if you have stumbled across the GREAT covers album by Icehouse “The Berlin Tapes” but it hits a lot of amazing artists with Iva Davies brilliant vocals..always saw him as the perfect fusion of Bowie/Murphy. There is a wonderful cover of “Love Like Blood.”

  15. Happy New Year! I am sorry I missed this show, live and on the Sirius app.

Some great songs I remember playing on annual Christmas show back in the late 80’s and some I didn’t know.
