Fans at long last will be able to get their hands on a copy of the “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records” documentary, as the film — and a much-anticipated soundtrack — will be released in April, according to an email sent today to the project’s Kickstarter backers. Watch the trailer here.
The Mission will document their ongoing 25th anniversary reunion this fall with a limited-edition 3-disc CD/DVD set called Silver that features two full concerts recorded last year and part of a third on either DVD or Blu-ray, plus a bonus CD featuring near-complete audio from one of the gigs as well.
Peter Gabriel this month will release a newly restored, HD version of his Grammy-winning 1994 concert film “Secret World Live” — filmed over two nights in November 1993 in Modena, Italy, during the tour for 1993′s Us — on both DVD and Blu-ray, and he’s offered up another preview of the set: “Shaking the Tree.”
In August 2010, Beggars Archive announced a series of This Mortal Coil reissues, including a CD box set, new vinyl editions of the collective’s three albums and a Blu-ray disc that was to feature all three records in high-def stereo. Nearly two years later, the box set and vinyl reissues are out, but not the Blu-ray.

X are set to re-release their 1986 concert film ‘The Unheard Music’ — which they’ve been screening at shows recently prior to playing their Los Angeles album in full — this December on both DVD and, for the first time, Blu-ray in special “Silver Anniversary” editions stocked with extras.
The long-awaited This Mortal Coil anthology first announced a year ago — a 4CD box set featuring the 4AD collective’s three albums and a fourth disc of singles and rarities — finally will be released this November, while a Blu-ray disc called Tears in the Dropbox that includes all three albums in HD audio remains in the works.
Primal Scream this May will release a live DVD and Blu-ray capturing its first full-album performance of its classic 1991 record ‘Screamadelica’ — a concert staged last Nov. 26 in London, which has now kicked off months of touring behind the reissue.
