Now it’ll be released on CD, too.
Yazoo – the hugely influential synthpop duo of Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke that was christened Yaz in the U.S. – will release a 4LP vinyl box set this fall called Four Pieces that collects the group’s two albums plus a set of remixes and their two BBC radio sessions. Fans who purchase Yazoo’s forthcoming ‘Reconnected Live’ album on iTunes will get a much-coveted bonus: the previously unreleased track ‘Get Set,’ recorded by Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke in 1983 for use as the theme to the BBC children’s TV show ‘Get Set For Summer.’
The release of ‘Reconnected Live’ — the 2CD, 20-track document of 2008’s Yazoo/Yaz reunion tour — is still a couple weeks off, but Mute Records has posted this four-song sampler to whet the appetites of fans of the Vince Clarke/Alison Moyet project.
