We’re back with the fifth installment of our ongoing readers poll series, bowing to popular demand that we ask you, the readers of Slicing Up Eyeballs, to help us rank every song released by New Order over the pioneering electronic-rock group’s 37-year lifespan. Morrissey today released the third song off his upcoming 10th solo album Low in High School, the apparently Brexit-themed single “Jack’s Only Happy When She’s Up On Stage,” which you hear in full via the official lyric video below. The 7-inch release will include a cover of the Elvis Presley classic “You’ll Be Gone.”

Michael Stipe returned to the concert stage Sunday night, performing a short set — he covered songs by Nat King Cole, Ringo Starr and the Velvet Underground — during the Pathway to Paris climate event at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Sunday. Watch the full performance right here.

If you were wondering how far Morrissey would get into his current U.S. tour before canceling a concert, well, the answer is three dates. Tonight, the mercurial former Smiths frontman pulled the plug on his outdoor concert in Paso Robles, Calif., because it was too cold and the venue’s on-stage heating system wasn’t working.

The Pixies and Weezer today announced a 29-date North American co-headlining tour next summer, a trek that will take the two bands’ blends of guitar-pop from coast to coast, performing at a dizzying assortment of corporate-branded outdoor amphitheaters along the way. See full dates right here.

Morrissey’s tour opener in Portland, Ore., this week featured at least one major setlist surprise: the singer’s first-ever live performance of “I Started Something I Couldn’t Finish,” the second single off The Smiths’ posthumously released final album Strangeways, Here We Come. For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we present one of the more rare YouTube finds: video footage of a full performance by Love and Rockets. This is a nine-song festival set filmed in Santiago, Chile, in 1996 as the band was touring in support of that year’s Sweet F.A. album — and previewing material that would end up on Lift.

U2 today formally announced the release of the band’s next album, Songs of Experience, a 13-song companion to 2014’s Songs of Innocence — a record that will see a fairly conventional release rather than be forced into every iTunes user’s library like its predecessor. Michael Stipe will make one of his periodic returns to the concert stage this weekend when the former R.E.M. frontman performs alongside Patti Smith, Joan Baez, Talib Kweli and Flea at the Pathway to Paris climate event at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Sunday. Full details here.
