Got a request? Requests will be considered for future episodes as long as they fit the show’s format and generally within the 1stWave era — and provided the host doesn’t harbor an intense dislike of the song.

  1. The Smiths – That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore

  2. Can you play “Bang Bang” by Iggy Pop?

  3. What a great way to end the show. One of Johnette Napolitano’s songs and vocals imo. Also great calls from Big Black, KFX, Nitzer Ebb, and Mission/Burma. And it’s always nice to hear some shoegaze.

Would like to ask for The Klinik on a future episode please. Maybe “Dead Meat”, “Obsession (LP version)”, or “Fever” please.

Thanks for the music. Have a great week.

  4. I am gearing up to see The Cure in June in Metro Detroit. May I ask if you can play “The Caterpillar” by The Cure from Bestival Live 2011? Thanks!

  5. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! Matt for acknowledging SHOEGAZE and the sets we all love of shoegaze . Please do more shoegaze in the sets. Love the goth and industrial sets too. Could we get a deep deep Killing Joke for next Sunday’s show? Your pick. Thanks Matt.

  6. Catherine

Hour 1 was my favorite this week Matt. I would suggest Higher than the Sun by Primal Scream. Enjoy your short week all.

  7. addictedtonoise

Simple Minds – This Fear Of Ghosts

  8. Great Setlist, but the first hour was particularly good wWire, Mission of Burma and Catherine Wheel were quite a nice treat to hear tonight.

  9. Please: “Misfortunes” by And Also The Trees. Thanks a lot!

  10. You always put on a great playlist, Matt! I saw My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult a couple weeks back in AZ and they put on a fantastic show! Then I heard Groovie Mann got hospitalized with complications of an injury and they had to cancel a bunch of dates but he’s now on the mend and can finish the tour. In honor of Groovie getting better, how about some MLWTTKK? Maybe “Cuz It’s Hot” if you can, otherwise, your choice!

  11. Alkaline Trio – Wait for the Blackout

  12. Hi Matt, please add The Nephilim to an upcoming episode. Maybe “The Watchman”? Thanks.

  13. Awesome show Matt! Enjoying the replay on this Memorial Day. Thanks for the Durutti Column track. Really enjoyed hearing some Marc Almond and Klaus Nomi and Japan back to back to back. You are too kind spoiling us with another superb shoegaze block. And we can never have enough Big Black.

Request for an upcoming show: “Beneath the City of the Hedonistic Bohemians” – Abecedarians.

    Have a great week, cheers!

  14. Thank you sooo much for the shoegaze set Matt! I’m one of those forceful few of the masses! That Lush track … just awesome.!! Anywho… some possible suggestions for next time:

The Stranglers – Strange Little Girl
    The Pixies – Gouge Away
Joy Division – New Dawn Fades
    Thanks again as always! 。◕‿◕。

  15. Great show last night. Loved hearing Pink Industry

  16. Going out on a limb here, but what about Cromagnon Caledonia?

  17. Enjoyed the show. Like said above, hour one ripped. How about Stiff Little Fingers Suspect Device.

  18. Nice industrial sets. Really been digging Ministry ‘s “We Believe.”

Concerning eyeballs- had my left one sliced up last week. Got new lenses in my eyes now.
Depeche Mode ‘s “Halo” or Ministry ‘s “Twitch” are suitable themes for such…but could you play-

    Die Warzau “Suck It Up”
    ♡Lovers all the time
    Lips that taste like wine♡

    • Damn, how in the world did you slice your eyeball?! Methinks Matt may need to play some Debaser for you.
