Modern English’s Robbie Grey, Mick Conroy to co-host Sunday’s “Dark Wave” on Sirius XM

Modern English

A programming note: Modern English singer Robbie Grey and bassist Mick Conroy will join Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian to co-host Sunday night’s episode of “Dark Wave” — the three-hour exploration of the darker side of classic alternative on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave.

Conroy and Grey selected a few Modern English tracks to play and talk about, as well as some key songs by other “Dark Wave” regulars like Joy Division, Gang of Four, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. They also will give an update on the recording of Modern English’s next album, and associated touring plans.

“Dark Wave” airs from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern every Sunday on 1st Wave (Channel 33). The most recent two episodes are also available to subscribers to stream any time via the SXM app.

If you’re not a subscriber, you may be eligible for a free three-month trial of Sirius XM.
